What if the repo was already on torrents or cloned before this bs? What could they really do?
No surprise when the mod was behind a patreon paywall, and there has been a history of companies shutting down mods like that.
And that is why you don't announce this stuff before release.
If he releases it for free I don't see how Sony can do anything. The Harry Potter fan film Heir of Voldemort was in the same boat. It was crowdfunded but released free and WB couldn't touch it. How is this different?
