Full title: The Dolphins are paying $183 million to players not on the roster for 2026. That compares to just about $104 million for players currently rostered. They have more 2026 cap dollars allocated to Tua Tagovailoa ($55.4M), who is no longer on the team, than to every active offensive player combined.

Tua Tagovailoa – $55.4 million
Tyreek Hill – $28.2 million
Jaylen Waddle – $23.2 million
Jalen Ramsey – $20.9 million
Minkah Fitzpatrick – $13.0 million
Bradley Chubb – $11.0 million
Wow, you can see how Miami got themselves in this situation. I am not familiar with Ramsey but the rest are players who worth that amount. Even Tua showed so much promise and then the concussions happened.
I wonder if those players get this pay out additional money from the teams they are on.
