I am such an idiot and gonna get all my stuff leaked if it isn't already.
I DID THE DUMB THING! I VERIFIED WITH A FACE SCAN AND SCAN OF MY ID!
Why? Well I had to verify with CompTIA to get my Sec+ certification, I passed by the way, and have been requesting to have my stuff deleted. CompTIA sent me to Pearson VUE who sent me back to CompTIA and now I am getting nowhere.
It has been like 3 weeks of email volleying and I have gotten nowhere. I don't know what to do. Should I keep pushing and risk my stuff spilling in a breach that will inevitably happen? Should I threaten legal action?
I am so fucked, dude. I am SO fucked! 😭👍️

This is about as far down the list of things to worry about as something can be, while still being on the list in the first place. PearsonVue having your ID, isn't much different than youre current or the dozen or so previous employers having it.
The irony of getting a security certification by dealing with the most dog shit insecure systems.
Well yea, they just make and proctor exams. Nothing says they need to follow them.

Are there any good reputable alternatives to CompTIA? I'm considering getting a cert there myself, but this is something I really don't want to deal with myself. Sorry you had to. Do post an update once (if ever) you get your request through!

If possible I’d recommend doing the testing in person, but not sure if thats much better or not.
PearsonVue proctors it no matter how you take it. Literally zero difference between in person or online.
