I can just hear it
I'm always lost when people start using music terms. So a "beat" is just a song? Why don't people just say that?
Beats are usually some sort of hip hop or electronic music.
I guess I could have given more explanation for those who don't know. Usually it means a hiphop beat, one either made for someone to rap over, or to stay an instrumental. But sometimes they can stray pretty far from their hiphop roots and still be beats.
