Access code failure
Hello. Could someone give me some advice? The issue is that I can't seem to generate any art; I keep getting this error:
(Access code failure. Ad blockers may cause this error, and will result in slower image generation. Please try refreshing the page, or report this at lemmy.world/c/perchance if that doesn't fix it.)
I tried disabling my ad blockers, but it's still not working properly. If anyone knows what the problem is, please let me know what I should do.

First, try a different browser. I use DuckDuckGo (free ad blocking), and have zero problems accessing any generator on Perchance. It might also be something in your OS settings. Whatever it is, though, it is on your end, so you just have to try some different approaches.
No, switching browsers didn't work. I tried downloading the one you mentioned (DuckDuckGo), but it gives the same error even there.
Put it Wade, my AI Helper, and here's what he says:
This is Perchance's own image-generation error, not anything a generator's code can cause or fix — it shows when the image-gen server's ad-gate "access code" request fails. Almost always client-side blocking. Tell them to try, in order:
Whitelist the site. In uBlock Origin: click the icon, hit the big power/pause button for the page (or add the filter @@||perchance.org^$allow). Same idea in AdGuard, Brave Shields, Edge/Firefox blocker extensions. Then reload.
Check DNS-level/network filters — Pi-hole, AdGuard Home, NextDNS, router blocks, school/work wifi, or a VPN/"private relay". These can't be whitelisted per-site, so test on a different network (phone hotspot) or toggle the VPN off.
Firefox specifically: Enhanced Tracking Protection → set to "Standard" for perchance.org.
Hard refresh and clear site data (Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-R, or clear cookies/cache for *.perchance.org), then retry a couple of times.
Isolate it: try incognito with extensions disabled, or another browser. If it works there, it's definitely an extension/filter.
Still failing after all that → report at lemmy.world/c/perchance as the message says, including browser + version, which blocker/VPN they run, and the generator's share link. The Perchance dev (u/perchance) reads that community.
Note the message's own wording: with blockers you may still get slow generations rather than none, but the "Access code failure" itself means the code fetch never completed — so whitelisting/reloading is the real fix.
