No, every time the media attributes a crime to a British person without specifying a name they assume it's a non-white British person and the media is intentionally obscuring the name because of political correctness.
Just to clarify; I'm not endorsing this view just explaining the particular mental gymnastics in effect.
Much of their "protest" is projection, based on their own behaviour - so when they say "the foreigners are raping all our women and children" they are saying "that's what I would/ already do"

Every American is 12 now. I don't know what's causing it, but it's becoming truer and truer.
It's a distinct lack of education
To out myself, I'm actually in education in America. Though it has serious flaws, I don't know that the education system can take the full blame for this one.
My major worries at the moment are: firstly, the instant access to information, which students prioritize instead of doing any heavy lifting with their own minds (especially as AI is being thrust on to them to do the thinking for them), and secondly, the lack of accountability from within the system and without, as parents and administrators refuse to place any boundaries on student behavior.
Both of those things seem to be crippling any growth beyond primary school.
America is a really fucking big country, and the quality of your education varies so wildly.
I've been in the US education system and others, the US system is definitely gimped in so many ways. Albeit, while in others I learned more, in the US system I learned how to touch type thanks to some stupid asterisk character called Qwerty - other countries would've left me to just learn online (which is ultimately where I really cut my teeth, but the foundation gave me a level up).

It's not dehumanizing rhetoric, it's a dehumanizing act. Rape is animalistic and if an animal was roaming a neighborhood raping people it would be killed because it's an unacceptable public danger. Humans are animals and the only reason we think better of ourselves is because of upheld social contracts, break that contract in such a way as rape then you void your "humanity".
