Ugh this BS marketing ploy is unfortunately clever.

Matt berry's a perfect choice, you summon him with the shout: Eye Kee Ah, there's an alan wrench sword and a meatball helm. The ikea/sweden/viking/nord connection is there, and so is the encumberance/home clutter connection.

I’ll accept it. Advertisements aren’t going to go away. This is voluntary to use and fun (to some).

if we have to live in world with ads everywhere I do appreciate the entertaining ones over the others.

Goddamn an Allan wrench sword and meatball helmet? Why haven't I gotten this yet?

Intriguing, but there doesn't seem to be any way to download it except through Bethesda's "creation club" so as a Skyrim mod it's a bit of a failure. Pretty good as a marketing stunt, though.

I don’t like Creation Club as a concept, but since the mod is free anyway, this seems like the best way for all platforms to use it since it’s built into the game.

It's not a terrible choice as an additional way to distribute a mod for people who are into that sort of thing, I guess. Making it the only way means I'm definitely never seeing it.

Yeah fuck them for not giving us more ways to consume this advertisement, I guess.

The job of the ad is already done, we're discussing this. We've been reminded that IKEA exists.

Now I'd like to actually play it since it's hilarious.

I love Matt Berry’s voice so much, I don’t even care if it’s an ad, I’ll watch/play whatever he’s in.

Anyone who’s ever seen these misappropriated into an institutional setting will know they’re actually made of literal cardboard.

IKEA have inexpensive furniture made out of straight up wood and/or metal, which is also much better for the environment when it inevitably breaks.

That said, this is hilarious

They also aren't cheap. They sell inserts you can shove into each cubbyhole that are also mostly cardboard and toy-like hinges and handles.

A 4x2 Kallax is 99$ and if you add a few inserts it easily goes into 200$. You can buy a much sturdier and larger metal wire-rack shelf for the same price and it will hold a lot more. (Home Depot)

The Kallax is a nice presentation case for displaying things, it's not great for storage.

His appearance on That Pedal Show was how I learned he does music. was good episode for fans of both Matt Berry and guitar gear.

all my furniture except my couches and a few scattered thrift store/alleyway finds came from ikea. this whole idea does not offend me like others have stated.

but fuk creation club.
