I created a Universal Phone Case with OpenSCAD
Title. I printed a case for a friend, and I ended up wanting to have a similar case, but it didn't exist for my phone, so I ended up recreating something similar in OpenSCAD, then decided I'd probably be better off making it customizable so that it could fit, theoretically, any (current) candy-bar style phone.

It took me about 4-5 nights to get it mostly as decent as I could make it, I still don't consider myself an OpenSCAD expert by no means, but when I tried it on my phone, I was pretty satisfied!
Unfortunately, for my phone, I had to make a couple of test prints, and the print shown on video, was putting a tad too much pressure on the corners of the screen, so I ended up having to make a new print. (7 total tests during development)

Why didn’t you fillet the edges? Would make it a little easier to hold in your hands since you won’t have a edge digging into it.
I'll admit, I had thought of it, but didn't know how to do it. Along with the sides cutout's outter radius already taking from the top edges (though that's a matter of getting the config right)
There are OpenSCAD libraries and I remember one has support for fillet and chamfers.
I had considered using libraries, but then I would have to expect the other person to also have set libraries. Alternatively, I could also just copy and paste the function, but I feel a little bit disingenuous about that.

as a fan of thick and beefy cases, I LOVE IT! I would countersink the screws on the front, but just my opinion 🤷♀️
Thank you!! I really prefer rugged cases too if it's available. As for the screws, I completely agree, but sadly the screw store that was around, didn't stuck up on much M# screws cause that particular the store didn't sell them much. I''ll check my local one soon. Otherwise, I might just add the slightly larger holes on top to make up for regular screws.
