Are there daytime bats?
I know that normal nocturnal bats can be seen flying at daytime sometimes during rare circumstances. But are there any flying mammals that have evolved to fly around during the day? Or have they all just decided not to compete with the birds in this regard?

Quick duck duck go search says The Samoan flying fox and the Azores noctule are really about it for diurnal (active during the day time) bats.
Mostly yeah flying mammals decided to be active at night to reduce competition. (By decided I mean complex evolutionary pressures of course).

I'd say flying foxes (giant bats/megabats) that are all around the Indian Ocean fit the definition of flying during the day. You can see them fly over Sydney at dusk every day. Also, I think some aren't even considered nocturnal.
I'm Azorean and yeah, as mushroommunk mentioned the Azorean bat shows up during the day! Very cool, those little things. I used to have one in my attic.
