In Vampire the Masquerade there are two main political bodies in vampire society that exist on every continent with two sperate ethos about vampirism and doctrine on how to interact with mortals and one another. They are also at odds about the origin and eventual fate of the supposed first vampire. But the truth in the lore is so subjective and propogandized that ultimately it won't matter beyond giving motives to the vampires currently alive in the game.
As a funny little joke in the video game Bloodlines, the developers hired the voice actor who played Caine the first vampire in some games from the 90's to voice a nameless cab driver who moves the protagonist from plot location to plot location. The punchline being that the legendary first vampire exists and has resigned himself to a lowly cabdriver to avoid all politics and intrigue of the people who worship him.
Edit: I made a mistake, that is not the same voice actor. Not the same vampire series. The cab driver is just implied to be Caine

Taxis are wildly convenient so he is quite fond of them.
