The laughing falcon is a striking tropical raptor known for its distinct call that sounds like human laughter.
Snake Specialist: Up to 90% of their diet consists of snakes, including dangerous pit vipers and coral snakes.
Ambush Technique: They hunt by waiting patiently on a high perch, then dive-bombing straight onto the snake's head with a powerful thud.
Precise Kill: They grab the snake right behind the head with their beak and bite it off immediately. - in Pantanal, Mato Grosso, Brazil.

Is it standing on it's own foot? I know we all stand on our own feet, we'll some of us....you know what I mean. Like one on top of the other.
I think you may be right. I'm wondering if there is a lack of gripping surface on that rock and that other foot is the best available thing to grip if it's locked in.
