Putin orders 3-day halt to strikes on Kyiv during US envoys' visit, Kremlin says

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered Russian forces not to strike Kyiv for three days starting at midnight on Sept. 6, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said, according to Russian state media.

Peskov said the temporary halt was linked to preparations for the Kyiv visit of U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The visit is part of U.S. President Donald Trump's latest push to negotiate an end to Russia's war against Ukraine.

CIA Director goes to Moscow. Ukrainian Security Services Director office gets btfo. Putin declares ceasefire for duration of visit.

They traded intel for security guarantees without realizing they’re burning sources and methods along the way.

That’s the problem with intel, political appointees don’t understand source and method vulnerabilities.

I wonder how long it'll last. Russia has a track record in doing the exact opposite in cases like this.

It'll last. Russia doesn't want any friendly fire to hit useful assets.

Killing Americans is the last thing Russia would want to do here, so it'll last. Even Trump wouldn't be able to protect the Russians if they killed US diplomats.

It's really stretching the definition of 'diplomat' when referring to Kushner.

Rest assured, those bombs and missiles and drones will be used on other targets...

This is the time when he should ramp up the strikes, especially for these "envoys".
