Okay this is probably an overshare, but last night at the concert I got to tell my father's voice to FUCK OFF. When I was a kid, he told me that only nerdy losers dance with their hands over their heads and since then I've always brought my hands down as soon as they start going into the air - well last night I told that voice to fuck off, threw my hands in the air and jumped around like crazy. My knees hurt today.

With 3 and a half year old twins at home doing anything by yourself is asking a lot. The 66 Batman movie is on at another cinema at the same time and that's a bit more family friendly
I was chased off the beach by swans yesterday. It's Spring. A few weeks ago I saw a pair entwining necks and it looked really cute and this is the result. 😐

So I watch a fair bit of YT, like deep analysis of video games, books, films, etc.
There is one extreme (for 1989) horror book I haven't seen anyone cover, and I kinda want to write a script for an analysis on it. I know some people have read it, per the Goodreads reviews on it, but having consumed a lot of horror analysis content, no one I watch has mentioned this book.
It's Demon Shield by Bruce King (not related to the other King author) https://www.goodreads.com/en/book/show/1850112.Demon_Shield. It scared the absolute shit out of myself and my dad and uncle. Knowing the content, I suspect their horror comes from one of the male characters being, uh, assaulted. But honestly the whole book it just fucked.
Now I can't say for sure no one else has covered this, because I haven't done a yt search for it. But I'm interested to see whether the writing is as good as I remember, or if I'm only remembering how much it scared me. That would be another point I'd touch upon in an analysis; is the writing carrying the scare, or is it just the content they're describing that's scary?
I'll have to locate my copy to start reading and taking notes again.

i think he was using cards he bought from some dodgy guy and looking for one that hadn't been cancelled or had some money on still . Not good. Doing dodgy things for a $10 coffee and cake is not worth it.
