Honestly I'm fine with this. I wouldn't argue for it specifically, but I'm not going to argue against it either. It doesn't particularly change our consumption of gas since it's not going to produce enough to meaningfully shift prices, and it should hopefully get the "drill baby drill" crowd to shut up at least briefly
