it's not even "light" at this point. The stuff we hear about in the moment is never as bad as it actually is, same thing as it was then, has always been and will forever be. The worst that's ever shown is only afterwards, and the absolute worst never comes out.

It's possible because legality is a thin excuse fascists are using to deport undesirables. There was no mistake except that they failed to get away with it this time.

A bit unrelated but as a long time SF resident I'm surprised the Chronicle is still alive enough that it's doing original reporting here. I opened this fully expecting it to be an AP wire reprint and it wasn't.
