My characters look somewhere between 1 (Lore-Friendly) and 2 (The Human Female Meta). I like them to look good and I don't mind a bit of a shnininess either, but everthing in moderation. Just like in real life.
Alsso, Female Norn look far better than Female Human characters. And Male Charr look awesome, too. I even managed to make my Asura and Sylvari characters look really nice.
Lore friendly, all the way. I'm a cold-hearted warrior and I judge all the flashy rainbow people.
Unless I'm on my mesmer.

I always try to think what would be appropriate for my female brawler thief (dd), Specter set is more… shadowy thingy
As friendly as rp-ers you may bump on in least expected places who happen to play doctor and patient thing 🫠
I'd say I go for mostly lore friendly, but with a touch of glowing bits. Pink mesmers sound completely right, though.
