Toad Under a Streetlight
Came home last night and saw this chonky toad had been just far enough to the side it avoided a messy situation! It was a dark and rainy night here and I'm glad I noticed it.
Since it was so large and looked very nicely textured, I tried to find my phone as still as I could to get a nice long exposure shot. This was my best attempt.

He must be looking for his keys
Thankfully it seems he found what he was looking for. It looked like he made it out of the parking lot ok because I did not see him there this morning. I always worry about the toadies and turtles crossing the roads in the neighborhood.
