Issues with eggs

Eggs or anything else from animals will not help for better health. And, wherever eggs are taken from chickens, they are depleted, as it takes up important reserves. They should not lay so much but those domesticated were bred for laying eggs so much. If there are no chicks produced from that it is best for the chickens to feed on the eggs, shells included, to recover lost minerals and nutrition given into the eggs. Those are for little chickens to grow, it would not work right for human people.

Yup.

Chicken ancestors would lay 10-12 a year. They've been selectively bred and now they produce 1 a day. It's absolutely brutal on the chook's health laying so many.

You're right about parts but also just wrong. If you don't want to eat eggs then don't. But why spread misinformation?

If the chickens are being fed a balanced diet, laying eggs is not detrimental to them at all.

Eggs absolutely "work right" for human people, they're like one of the most nutritionally dense food items on the planet. You could live almost exclusively on eggs.

Why do you believe this? Laying hens are bred to lay way more eggs than is healthy, these aren't just wild chickens we've caught. We bred them to lay until they die; a chicken that isn't bred to lay eggs can live 8-10 years, layers live 6-8. There's a reason for this.

That's IF they're not slaughtered at 3-4 years old, because they are "useless" after their eggs dry up, and most of them will be slaughtered.

I mean imagine you got your period every day—but it's fine because you get some iron supplements? Nah to that

Ok? Now imagine your brain is the size of a chickpea and you're a feathered dinosaur that's been bread to store meat without it rotting. Do you think you know what iron supplements are?

Ok?

Look which community you're in and try to glean what my point might be. I'll just quote the sidebar for your convenience.

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals …

Knowledge of micronutrients doesn't even enter into it.

I don't think you will find much current information to support that. It has protein, almost anything does still. It has enough nutrition for a chick to develop, we do not need the cholesterol from it, that is detrimental for us.

You reached the end
