But republicans are fine sending their kids to Child beauty pageants, but reading not allowed

Well yeah, it gets them used to being half-baked and ogled by middle aged men, AND they want these girls to be too ignorant to know better and too ignorant to know how to articulate how they're being abused (and hoping they won't even realize they're being abused)

I said something about this to a friend and they told me to not talk like that. I literally said these republicans pre-pissed on her grave by defunding her book charity for kids and now they will pretend they loved her. No. They couldn’t wait for her to die to insert themselves into her death and that’s exactly what they did.

I’m so sick of humanity.

They're just pissed because the entire world loves her and they cannot twist her legacy to suit their needs. Everyone knows who's side Dolly was on and no amount of propaganda will change that.

If the Republicans sent a book to each kid, it wouldn't be Corduroy. It'd be something written by PragerU. So just as well they are staying out of the book distribution game.

Meanwhile the republicans are trying to bring back cursive handwriting. What a pathetic bunch of bitches

Tbh, I like cursive. It's way faster for taking notes in class.

And yes you can type, but writing by hand seems to stick in the memory better. Or so I've been told

I like cursive too but I'd rather kids be taught some actually practical skills instead. Civics, home economics, geography (so we don't appear in those "idiots can't point at [insert country here] on a map" videos so often), and programming would be preferable.

I was effectively taught all of those things. I'm not even old I'm elder Gen Z.

Schools just need funding and we need to get rid of no child left behind.

Also those videos are very intentionally shot. They ask dozens of people and insert the ones that do poorly. Who wants to watch a video where everyone gets the answer correct?

It's only faster if you write faster with it. It takes me longer to write in cursive, it did even back in middle school when I was forced to only use it instead of printing, and it still ends up far less legible. Also school should not be taught in a way where success is dependent on writing down facts as fast as you possibly can, that's not actual teaching. But that's a different issue, lol.

Remember: anyone can write at 100 words a minute if it's completely unintelligible.

Even outside of school taking fast notes has been an absolute lifesaver on the job

Nice! Yeah if you work at a desk and take a lot of calls, I'm sure that's true. If I take time out of my work day to write down notes, I'm already behind. Thankfully it's not part of the job.

Field scientist actually, but your guess also makes sense

Why would cursive be bad? Anyone who thinks AI shouldn't be used for essay responses should be for cursive. As no one should want to write an essay in print.

Giving books to all children under 5 every month is a terrible idea it would just be very wasteful. There is good ideas this is not one of them. Trees are chopped down to make those books... Valuable land and soil health is consumed just to create books that will never get read that will create waste because the real problem hasn't been acknowledged this is virtue signalling.

E: An example of a good idea: funding libraries.

Jesus fuck you are so fucking stupid you have to look at the problems too not just what looks good on paper in perfect imaginary world.

Take for example sending mosquito nets to Africa decimated the river ecosystems and didn't prevent the spread of malaria. We don't exist is perfect imaginary world that many books aimlessly going out to people will result in garbage and wasted resource and unnecessary pollution fucking think you idiots

My daughter is three and has over 50 books already and she loves them. A book is a massive ROI. Most books are made from recycling and then when they get stale, donated to continue helping kids not becoming brainrot Republicans.
