Like, rock and roll burned down the Silent Generations' collective brains. The Greatest Generation was sure DnD was a cult. The Boomers were sure video games were going to turn a generation into bloodthirsty murderers. Gen X doesn't and has never existed, and us Millennials...don't see what's so funny about 67. Like, when I looked up what Skibidi Toilet was, I recognized it instantly as Source Filmmaker Youtube Poop. Where's the weird and scary?
The latest moral panic is social media. And if your instinctive response is, "that's different" then you might be right... or you might just be the same as all the people in previous generations who thought their moral panic was different from the ones that came before :)
