unfortunately being a maine coone its likely to be bred this way on purpose, from an unethical breeder/backyard. having polydactyl abnormality increases the cats chances of other genetic defects, like heart, skeletal issues. an ethical breeder wont try to breed a cat with polydactylism.

I just hope that the cat will be able to walk comfortably with all of those toes. If not, it may require surgery to remove some.

From a catery. Can't help but wonder if the breeders are irresponsible and inbreeding their cats.

Down voting stuff like this helps a little, but it's kind of a catch 22.

It is a Maine Coon, known for extra toes, but this is kinda ridiculous. I hope kitty will be able to live a comfy life with what? over a dozen extra digits?
