Hesgeth's Pastor Wants to Repeal Women's Voting Rights
In a wide-ranging interview, Wilson said he opened a D.C. "church service" because of the number of Christians who adhere to his church's teachings within the Trump administration. One of the most prominent followers is Hegseth, who attends the newly opened D.C. congregation.
"If Kamala [Harris] had won the presidency, there would have been basically zero evangelicals in the White House administration," Wilson said. "And although Donald Trump is not an evangelical by any stretch … his administration is full of them."
That's why Wilson sees an opportunity for his beliefs to be seriously considered at this moment, including the belief that eventually the U.S. should be a Christian theocracy, whereby Christian principles dictate state authority and religion and politics are tightly intertwined.

I wonder why.
If they try that. Time for mass protests to completely shut down the streets outside the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court.
The fact that this is not already happening sucks. Why wait
People are still clinging onto hope for the elections. That and fear.
Historically, we see that people have had to be pushed to far worse conditions before fighting back. Americans have been spoiled. They were largely spared from the horrors of the World Wars on the European mainland. We’ve been the top dogs in the New World for a long time, surrounded by two oceans for protection.
Spain lived under fascist rule for four decades. And many lives were lost in that fight. Europeans know first hand the horror of fascism.
No Kings rallies aren’t going to stop what’s been set in motion. The majority needs to rise up all together and refuse to comply.
Eh....... I think the rapid rise of far right parties all across Europe would dispel the notion that Europe has received some kind of immunity to fascism.
In reality all democracies are vulnerable to fascism. The German jurist and political philosopher Carl Schmitt wrote about the inherent vulnerability of democracy in his book The Crisis of Parliamentary Democracy in 1923. He basically wrote the playbook that every fascist still utilizes today.
Writing "Every actual democracy rests on the principle that not only are equals equal, but unequals will not be treated equally." Basically, you can tear apart any democracy by framing diversity and minority opinions as existential threats to the political community, by exploiting this you can lay the groundwork for majoritarian tyranny and state-sponsored exclusion.
I want to repeal his right to oxygen.
I want to repeal his tetanus shot.
Why are we soliciting input from pastors? This is a political stance made by a
memberleader of a parish. Repeal their tax breaks.Good luck with that. Me and my queer friends are all armed to the teeth. Want a nationwide Stonewall? Come the fuck at me.
I'd like to order one!
Does not understand, perhaps is not a penis-haver
Literally what they accuse Muslims of...
But it’s okay, because America is a Christian Nation™️
Haha. Hey guys. You can still stop it. But it’s not at a voting booth. You got a few more more weeks before martial law.
Eh, I wouldn’t count on a revolution en masse. Or even a general strike for that matter. Many leftist Americans are armed, but are not organized and have not developed deep mutual aid networks. Resistance is only is effective when it’s organized and massive. Not to mention having to train a bunch of new fighters in things like urban combat, and training civilians in proper civil disobedience. You have to raise both a peaceful movement in tandem with an armed resistance.
I do predict a few days of sporadic, chaotic violence, but it will be quickly stamped out. The administration will paint itself as “heroes” for defeating “insurgent communist terrorists.”
That sporadic violence will be pointless. Possibly massive riots in few large cities, where rioters just end up destroying their own neighborhoods and not going after the real enemies.
It’ll take hyperinflation, waiting in lines at food banks to only find out they ran out of food, etc. Also, many more people you know and love being dragged off, imprisoned and killed. The storming of the bastille and the Bolshevik Revolution happened under much worse material conditions.
Non-fascist Americans better organise.
They won’t do anything. It’s gonna be handmaids tale without the reproduction issues.
Keep doing this. It’s helping the most.
Should I tell them everything is gonna be okay? I’m not a liar.
They've figured out how to do it without repealing the 19th. "One household, one vote" sound familiar?
Many, many women live alone or are the head of their household. I once had a neighbor who did not believe women should be able to own homes by themselves. That's when I learned how many single women owned homes in my neighborhood, and we eventually teamed up to look out for each other against this guy.
So I imagine that rule you quoted would create a landslide of further rights restrictions so women could not live alone or own property ever again
What denomination is this?
If you wanted the actual answer, it’s the “New Apostolic Reformation” and they use the “Passion” translation of the bible. It’s the same denomination Mike Johnson and other scumbags are a part of.
An excellent book on the subject is “The Violent Take It By Force” and it’s absolutely fucking wild what they believe.
ChristoFascist.
Neocalvanists.
Why do people keep posting images?
Like, I know the link is in the description, but it's such a weird yet common choice
Gotta show what this liver spotted pock marked piece of shit looks like.
This sub requires you to post a picture in order to post.
If you put the article link in the URL field on the Create Post form your post will use the thumbnail image from the link.
Finally figured it out on the ios app
I learned something new!
rule 1 is literally post a link to the article and makes zero reference to images.
The Lenny app wouldn’t let me post it unless I uploaded a picture… I tried several times.
No, you can post links. Also rule #1.
It absolutely does not, and by the rules posting with an image will get removed...
You can't do a simple text post.
Because you're supposed to link the actual article, where you're linking the picture.
It’s fixed
And they wonder why church attendance is down.
