A modern surgeon comes back to life as as Hua Tuo, the legendary Chinese physician, during the Eastern Han Dynasty.

What starts out as a lighthearted but interesting surgeon story becomes filled with notes on the yellow turban rebellion, and the war that followed the death of the emperor. It contains nice reference to the records of the three kingdom, a historical book about and from that period and romance of the three kingdoms a 14th century novel based on the history book. Probably over 30 for westerners not knowing about that period of Chinese history, not so much for those already familiar with it.
