Whether or not it was a better fighter than the Spitfire is a matter of debate
Context: The Hawker Hurricane is often overshadowed by the prettier Spitfire, but during the Battle of Britain it really did the heavy lifting. It accounted for roughly 60 percent of Luftwaffe losses. Skeletor here is just giving credit where it's due before disappearing back into the shadows.

There were more hurricanes than spitfires, because they were easier to make.
The fancy things rarely do the hard work.
It's always the ugly./plain thing that actually pulls its weight.
That said, the hurricane looks like a neat plane, so I wouldn't even call it ugly or plain, just not "flashy"
The cockpit being high up on the fuselage was for visibility, but yeah, the Hurricane wasn't a pretty plane...
P-38 was the best looking fighter, though.
