[SOLVED]Does anyone remember the name of this, I believe, SNES or Original Playstation RPG game?
There was this RPG I played way back in maybe late 90s ish. I obviously can't remember the name but I do remember that there was a tower where you lived (forgot if you owned from the start or purchased) and there were a LOT of PCs you could find in the world that would join your group, if they didn't join right away you would later meet them again in your tower. They only got XP/levels when in a group out in the world.
If I remember more I will add it. Some questions may bring more memories of it back as well.
EDIT: Thank you to @[email protected] @[email protected] and @[email protected] that is the game

Suikoden?
Tactics Ogre?
At first I thought the Shining Force games, but those were Sega only.
doesn't look like it
In Baldur's Gate PCs would wait in a tavern that was in a tower where you could also rent rooms to rest. The location acted as a central hub. That was on PC, though.
Didn't play BG2 but I heard you can get your own castle in that one. Maybe PCs would wait there.
Suikoden?
I believe "Legend of Dragoon" had a setup like this. I think it was a PS1 game with very SNES era jrpg conventions
I will look up game play when I get home.
We used to go to a store called Microplay that used to rent out games for consoles at an amazing price: $1/day on 30 day rental and to switch a game it only cost the tax that would have applied. I think we rented/finished 80% of the ps1 games they had in stock, usually games took about a week for each of us to finish, we def got a great value out of it
Suikoden?
