Hello, do you know a privacy conscious TLD(Top Level Domain) or any project/ressource that could help hosting a website.
As far as i understand, TLD are owned by an entity (corporate as far as i know) that have autority over your domain name. As such they require an identity to link to your website and could have some power over it (like when the CIA "seize" a domain). Do you have a private alternative?
So far i know of
-
.onion -> we want it to be publicly ish acessible so not suited for our case.
-
opennic -> as far as i know you have to manually change your dns to point to it. No .pirate, .parody, .null or .geek for us as we want it publicly ish accessible.
Feel free to answer by naming a cool project/tech/ressources that could help support this initiative or similar ones ;)
To give a bit more precision, my friends could face legal and/or political répression as they love privacy and are quite critical of the power in place. Namely US ones.
Thank you all !
