The Fediverse is Throwing a Music Festival
Believe it or not, the Fediverse has a pretty active and happening music scene. NHAM and RadioFreeFedi are collaborating to put together a music and culture live stream, for the Fediverse, by the Fediverse, and it’s all powered by PeerTube and Owncast.
The event is from August 26th @ 1900 UTC to August 28th @ 0100 UTC

Cool idea, i added it to my calendar.
Next year, stream of people dancing...? :)
I had no idea this was a thing. That's really cool.
This is awesome. Think I'm going to tune in while my partner is gone for a few days. The timing is perfect and I can put it on my living room speaker and just chill out.
Epic
Um, the link gives me a "downloadfile.bin" on Fennec for Android 🤔 Not the main Wedistribute page, or other posts I checked, just that post.
Should you or I check something, Sean?
It's a long-established Content Negotiation bug in the WordPress ActivityPub integration. Despite improvements to the codebase and the plugins I use, it still happens occasionally. I'm not sure why.
does that mean it's supposed to be intermittent? I reloaded twice in ironwolf browser, and it wanted to download a file each time
I get the Wedistribute page on my Fennec for Android. Maybe an extension flub?
It does look like it's fetching the Spectra PeerTube JavaScript code. Does it have something to do with that?
Woo!! Is a list of performers? I'm so excited
Yes! The event site has a lineup: https://fest.nham.co.uk/
