Ok, but why does a company play politics?
What purpose does this trade war with Canada even serve? What's the point of starting it? What is there to gain?
So his friends can play on the stock exchange and make tons of money on the back of everyone else.

Especially since he has no clue what he's talking about. Ontario buys and sells electricity across the border, and thanks to his incompetence, we have been buying more since 2023. We buy about a third of what we sell.
All in, electricity represents 0.4% of trade for Canada. But hey, let's elect another high school grad to run a $1T economy to do stupid shit.

Circular trade is circular. All this talk of US-Canada trade war is going to be miserable for everyone. But each side is too self-centered and vindictive to give a shit, particularly when the bulk of the pain is going to land on the most economically vulnerable.
I have my criticisms of Mark Carney and his Liberal government, but you can't really "both sides" the tensions between the USA and Canada right now. Only one side is too self-centred and vindictive, and it's not Canada. Canada has been thrown into the position of constantly having to defend itself from unprovoked attacks by the USA.
