People were getting crazy with acronyms back then. Like Wine - "Wine Is Not an Emulator".

At least it ain't VHDL, which stands for VHSIC Hardware Description Language, or, in full, Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language. Its name is as much of a clusterfuck as the language itself.
