Are there any modern games for SEGA Mega Drive 2? Are there any modern frameworks and compilers for creating such games and devices to flash these games to?

I like the console vibe and want to develop such a game for myself.

Personally, I think it would be nice to make a high-level framework in Nim which translates into C code so it could be compiled even by old compilers but I'm afraid the platform is so restricted that it will require pure assembler to implement the game effectively.
