This doesn't work. I tried. They just go "well no because" and pretend everything trump did was justified.

Unfortunately that's human. Many take the decision on an emotional level and then construct a narrative to support that decision.

The obvious answer is to destroy all humans and let our Furon overlords rule the planet.

Good luck surviving on salty tears.

It would be perfectly fine. Tears are isotonic. They’re the exact salinity of the human body. It’s the same reason why if you’re in the hospital they give you saline solution for hydration instead of plain water. That saline bag is the same salinity as tears. And your blood. And the rest of the liquid in your body.

Enjoying the suffering of others is the main problem with the far right.

You don't fight a thing by becoming that thing. That doesn't make you a righteous person fighting evil, it just means there are now two assholes instead of one.

-1

That's just an excuse. It feels good to vent hate on a target you feel is justified. It's an awful part of human psychology.

You don't have to be kind and try to fight bullets with hugs, but enjoying the suffering of others is absolutely disgusting.

I agree. If you think about it, there’s technically only two types of people in the eyes of psychology - those capable of auto-reflection and narcissists. A narcissist avoids responsibility and has extremely childish behavior - refuses to accept personal responsibility, will cheat and lie more easily, as they feel justified, because the “I” always puts itself as “more”, and “better than the rest”.

An auto-reflecting person, the “did my actions negatively affect someone”, develops empathy. Empathy also makes you “see” things for what they really are. And what trump is, is an absolute pig. There is no other creature on this beautiful planet Earth, like the pig. It will go to exceptional lengths to bring itself pleasure, regardless of what might happen to anything around it, even the pigs’ own babies. He has developed skills that would only acquire him more pleasures and no lie is big enough, as he has aaaaaall the justification he needs - his fanbase echoing how amazing he is.

I am more afraid about that tiny sliver of time, between “his fanbase is still there” and “the entire world now sees Trump for what he really is” - that catalyst for Trump would be the final push to total insanity and complete lapse of judgment.

Your last paragraph is my prediction.

I think it's likely that Trump did his little executive order on birthright citizenship giving him the imaginary power to declare that citizens born from an immigrant parent from a place he decides is his enemy can be stripped of citizenship and the DoJ working up something to nullify birthright citizenship are plans for if the Democrats sweep the midterms and take back control of Congress.

If/when that happens I imagine that Trump will very quietly sign an official looking decree that a lot of Democrats in Congress who were foreign born or had at least one foreign born parent are no longer US Citizens, and send a very large number of ICE on a surprise raid to abduct them.

It's unconstitutional, but ICE has shown it's fully willing to violate the constitution and is better funded than most national militaries on the planet. They'd happily do it. Then the Republicans are a physical majority again, and I don't see them doing anything against it.

If the people try to do something about it and start opening fire on ICE agents, that's when the insurrection act button gets pushed and he calls in the actual military. I don't think the military would be willing to abduct members of congress based on an unconstitutional decree... but... once it's civilians in a firefight with ICE Federal Agents? And they're called on to defend other Federal Agents against the "leftist terrorists"? And the majority of the New Congress and the Supreme Court all tell them it's the right thing to do? Then they almost certainly would.

I don't get this 'drinking tears' metaphor. Tears are bad, your 'enemies' are bad.

I get that you want to see your enemies cry. But if they pooped their pants from fear, you wouldn't want to eat it.

Lay on the couch and make yourself comfortable.

Now, can you tell me why your thoughts immediately went to eating someone's poo? It's alright, Apples. This is a safe place. I'm not here to judge you, I only want to understand so that I can help you.

Loyalty to Trump is treason *against the liberals' fantasy that their iteration of the settler-colonial entity was at any time anything else.

Loyalty to (Trump included of course, fuck Trump) is treason against all life.

The curse of the leftist is to be right too early to be taken seriously. As long as the analysis is happening, which it definitely is on the broad liberal and soc dem radar, then it's a great thing. If you focus on the delay of justice as being as worthy of scorn as the long term injustice itself then you'll be an ineffective messenger when people are finally ready to listen.

Then stop staying as a forced lover and leave to freedom.

...

has been a white supremacist settler-colonial project since the moment white people landed on this continent. It's been literally hundreds of years. Am I allowed to be right yet? How much longer I gotta wait?

What analysis? Liberals and social democrats have still refused to reject capitalism and the settler-colonial project. They only care right now because it's not their President doing the oppression, and the President is not attempting to hide his vileness from liberals like prior administrations. Liberals were silent at best or even on board with the violence during the Obama years and Biden's term.

And when individual liberals do take the plunge and undo their capitalist conditioning ... they cease being liberals in my eyes, and they cease being comrades in the eyes of their former comrades. I.e., they wouldn't be liberals if they did the analysis. They would be something else.

If you focus on the delay of justice as being as worthy of scorn as the long term injustice itself then you'll be an ineffective messenger when people are finally ready to listen.

Yes, which is why I am showing scorn for the injustice itself — white supremacy, capitalism, and settler-colonialism, all conveniently wrapped in a star-spangled rag — which liberalism systematically refuses to do, and which liberalism refuses to see is still ongoing. It's not "justice delayed", it's "they don't even plan to do justice".
