At least once we're all gone life will have a renaissance in a million years or so.
There is scientific papers about this and they say in 15 million years we will get back to full diversity and niche occupation after human extinction. Hotter earth would even theoretically have higher diversity since warm wet ecosystems have higher energy flux potential

Having just driven across France back and forth in two weeks, can confirm la grande sechesse from the ground. Have never seen France so dry.
I bet you the RN is still denying climate change.
It's because the immigrants are drinking all the water of course, and their black magic keeps the rain at bay.
And the alphabet people are shagging so hard it's heating up all of France too!
Don't doom. Settle around the sources and streams that are not dry yet and start planting. My land burned down two weeks ago, and the first green blades of couch grass were back a week later. As long as the water runs I will continue to care for the land.
Those used to large scale agriculture have to rethink very fast now, but the same applies. The times of big open fields are over, go plant rows of trees as long as you still can, so they can retain the water.
Where is your land that burned down and what are you doing with your land?
I'm in Southern Europe. I use the land for tiny scale agriculture with lots of grazing. After the fire I now have a chance to clean everything really well and maybe divert water from different sources to spread it more evenly. I'm still learning every day how this landscape works. Just yesterday I saw that the heat has encouraged some white flowers to bloom, they stick out like insane white candles from this black earth.
There's many reasons for despair, and also there's so much time to enjoy the flowers and continue to learn. It's very unlikely that humans will be wiped out completely any time soon, and this is the chance to figure out how to do things better next time and tell our children about it!
