Is this from the same place or do all ramen restaurants just have confusingly similar tables and utensils?

You can see the place name if you zoom on the beverage. I assume many go for roughly the same look. Ramen places here in Japan can vary a lot on area, chain vs small, etc. (though chains and ingredient + energy costs are driving out a lot of small biz)

Looks good! Why bread something if you're going to place it in a broth though? Breading is for crispiness.

Weird to see katsu in ramen. Is that a pretty common thing outside Japan?

I don't know. I thought it was confusing to have something crispy in ramen. It was a nice contrast to the slippery ramen experience. I personally would have liked it to the side to enjoy it alongside. Or one after the other. But it was very very tasty
