I do not know if this original article is terribly clever or genuinely and terribly stupid.
It was posted to r/conservative. Definetly a god tier bait to get those nuts to agree with the unity of labor aka unions.
Oh yes indeed. I am chuckling thinking of the 1-2 smarter users in r/conservative trying to prevent the flood of likes 🤣🤣🤣👌👌👌
I was about to get angry but I think it's terribly clever.
I'm with you in thinking it a parody
May I ask what's not smart about it? The person seems to just try finding a way of out miserable financial state the best they can.
The "clever" part is describing the effects of capitalism, that a business owner profits off the value of the workers' labour without working themselves, but re-encodes it to instead be about how the workers' hard work and wages are being taken and "redistributed" to someone who didn't earn them.
This "the lazy person gets your hard work" framing is one of the most popular ways Americans are scared away from socialism or communism, so by turning the situation upside down here it's attaching the same framing to capitalism instead. And then arguing for a united workforce to protect "capitalism" from the dangers of "communism"
Roger that. Thank you for the more experienced explanation that may enlighten the case from another angle.
These are frequent employment challenges in Europe and Russia/Asia I witnessed enough to believe someone tries fighting for their rights and effort to be financially compensated. I'll reconsider it.
It's clever bait.
A bait for what? For a suggestion someone searches for for their next step?
There are other whole Communities for these cases, too, of course. For example:
- https://workplace.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/salary
- https://workplace.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/team
No it's bait for someone trying to get a rise out of conservatives or trying to trick them into agreeing capitalist behaviour is bad, if only we call it communism.
The user who wrote that text is trolling, it's not genuine.

Let's hope it's indeed "trolling" and not a call for help...
Andererseits: Truth is stranger than fiction.
mind. 5:
https://www.reddit.com/user/concerned-anticommie/I know the original poster is joking/trolling, but I am reading animal farm right now and I can't say I'm surprised that so many Americans reference it. It's only one hundred pages long, at that is the edition that has a puffy spacing between the lines and generous margins. It's so becoming to use as a propaganda vehicle against uprisings against oppression, even though Orwell does not strictly advocate capitalism when you read the book closely.
Even a surface level reading doesn't advocate capitalism... The ending explicitly equates communism and capitalism.
The book is anti-authoritarian, in any guise.
And that conclusion is something that makes the book a bit ridiculous.
The book identifies concentrated power as the villain. The farmer has complete control over the lives of the animals, and used that to better his life without concern for theirs.
The pigs are given complete control, and use that power to do the same.
It doesn't matter what you call the system, concentrated power is authoritarian by definition, and is invariably harmful to those who do not hold power.
So, if I have someone who drags me into the military – into a losing battle perhaps – and harm them out of self defence, is that really all that terrible for my interests? I would say I would benefit greatly. If I got together with a bunch of soldiers who all are tired of fighting and decide with them to usurp our masters, how is that not concentrating the power, and more importantly how is that necessarily a bad thing?
If you don't institute an egalitarian society after the revolution, you're just replacing one authoritarian government with another. That's certainly good for you, but when you're in power, you're not part of "those who do not hold power" anymore.
I think this is bullshit. This society everyone is living in is egalitarian already. No country claims to be anti-egalitarian, pretty much all, with the exception of Israel, are built on this idea of equality among citizens.
Egalitarianism in practice means same rights and duties for all, it's not the guarantee of having your needs met. If someone does manage to get an edge in an egalitarian society, there is no stringent mechanism implied to prevent this person from accruing wealth or power from the principle of egalitarianism alone. Egalitarianism itself is too abstract.
Totally not an ML tho, right? Lmao

Also. Wenn es ein troll ist dann parodiert er zumindest reale sachen
