Only One Type of Coffee Protects against Dementia - Why? - YouTube
Clickbait title, but it basically says caffeine protects against dementia by kicking amyloid protein out of the brain. So yay! Coffee is good for you again!

I might be a purist and miss out on a lot of good videos. But when I see a clickbait title and thumbnail I refuse to watch it. It just doesn't sit right that someone would make a quality video and then use slop to promote it. 😞
Counterpoint: this is entirely YouTube/algorithms' fault, forcing legitimate creators who make quality, well researched content, to begrudgingly make clickbait titles and thumbnails just to not be dropped in search results.
Source: creators begrudgingly complaining they now have to make clickbaity titles to appear in searches, recommended, etc.
The DeArrow extension fixes that. You can choose random thumbnails or crowd sourced ones and it replaces titles with crowd sourced alternatives that actually describe the video.
I know that extension very well. I have contributed to it and even bought a license for it. Makes YouTube feel less like a slop machine.
DeArrow is good and all but I disabled it. I want to see what their thumbnail and titles are so I can block them altogether.
You're not alone in this. I always stay away from watching videos or reading articles with click bait titles. Maybe we are just naturally contrary.
"I know what you're doing, I know you're trying to manipulate me, you know what? Just because of that, I'm going to do the opposite of what you want me to do now."
Iirc the amyloid hypothesis is no longer thought to be very valid, nor have anti-amyloid treatments been shown to be effective at reducing/treating/preventing Alzheimer’s and related diseases
Here is one article from earlier this year: https://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2026/02/drinking-2-3-cups-of-coffee-a-day-tied-to-lower-dementia-risk/
Man, this will be interesting when it’s important enough to have an article written about it
Coincidentally, anal is the only sexual act that prevents gengivitis.
