Annoyed that I read as much of this garbage as I did. People like different things, get over it.

I love self playing games. Im not sure if this counts, Factorio and cities skyline are nice to be able to play when I want to play and watch when I want to watch.

I mean, room temperature IQ is one of the requirements to be a game journalist.

I thought this was gonna be more about bullshit "games" where the player literally has zero interaction with the "game" and it truly just plays itself. Like Progress Quest (which is satirical and not intended to actually be a fun game to play). Not power fantasies where you can just win really easily like Vampire Survivors or MegaBonk. 🫩

I imagine the author being a shooter kiddie that can't imagine a game being fun when it's not about fast reactions.

Idler roguelites are very popular. I like them as I can put on a nice audiobook in the background.
