Exclusive: Dismissed Ukrainian defense minister Fedorov mulls US visit, sources say
It remains unclear whom Fedorov plans to meet in the U.S. He has, however, remained in close contact with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk over the potential use of Starlink terminals to counter ballistic missile systems deployed on Russian territory.
Fedorov did not respond to a request for comment. The President's office said they were not aware of any such plans.
This Elmo connection is upsetting.

Fedorov popularity in Ukraine is apparently plummeting like a rock by his recent actions.
The call for a national election was widely considered self serving and ridiculous, and now he is going to USA for his own personal reasons, apparently NOT representing his country.
I’ve only read a single article about the situation but it sounds like he’s validating their decision to remove him.
I was 100% with Fedorov, he was an amazing minister of defense, but the silence since he was fired was awkward, and his actions after the new minister was announced have been very self centered to say the least.
I wish him the best, but he has clearly outmaneuvered himself in politics IMO.
It's funny that my wife was a bit suspicious about him even before he was fired. She said he was a bit too close to Musk, and that's not a good thing in general, because Musk has been very Russia friendly. And also the fact that Musk is raving mad. 😋
I thought it was just to serve Ukrainian interests, but she was right.
Same here. The musk angle is worrying.
