Made 3 new things I've never made before
Made shredded pork with garlic sauce (top left), salt and pepper tofu (top right) and some random cabbage recipe (bottom).
All three were good but I would say the shredded pork was my favorite of the 3, then the cabbage and the tofu last.
I think I would definitely make the shredded pork and cabbage again however the tofu wqs a lot of work and it wasn't worth the effort for me. I think for the effort I'd rather have salt and pepper fish.
I don't remember exactly which recipes I used but I will post some that look right?

I want this badly right now
That does look absolutely amazing, nice work.
My local Chinese restaurant does absolutely amazing salt and pepper tofu, it's my favourite thing on the menu and I order it every time. Yours does look very similar; maybe smaller pieces than they do? A shame that it didn't turn out to your liking.
You a tofu fan generally? I turn out a lot of Felicity Cloake's Ma Po Tofu, although admittedly it's mostly the ma po sauce from the local Chinese supermarket. Utterly delicious, only takes ten minutes.
Yeah I have nothing against tofu. I will say that the tofu was probably not as good because I made it in an air fryer and even though you can make things crispy in an air fryer, nothing beats real deep fry. Although part of the issue was the tofu flavor. I think the dish really makes the tofu the star and although I don't hate the flavor of tofu, it isn't that interesting of a flavor to me.
I make mapo tofu a lot and do enjoy it. I generally enjoy tofu more in stews and soups where it can get more of it's flavor from the broth. Eg. mapo tofu, soon dobu, kimchi stew, hot and sour soup and miso soup.
yeah, tofu just isn't worth the effort, its such a pain to properly cook.
cabbage and pork is comparitively super easy, as there've been people eating variations on that dish for...... quite possibly as long as cabbages and pigs have been farmed.
does look like you overcooked your pork a little and made it a bit too dry; better luck next time!
in my experience, you should cook your meat low and slow, and your veggies hot and fast for the best texture
