Any documentaries on the political situations in Southern US states where they continue to elect Republicans to state and federal office despite ever-worsening economic and medical outcomes?
From those I know across the South, it's a combination of 'my team is R, if they suck we'll just vote for them harder' and 'I'm white, so I vote for R'
It's an entirely emotional set of arguments backed up by jingoist dogma. That's why talking about policy to them is entirely useless. You can't logic someone out of a position they didn't logic themselves in to.

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a superb resource on this, it has articles not documentaries though.
