Tram driver shut the door right in my face. I even put my arm in the door to try stop it but it kept closing. I was in the same group of people who were waiting for the tram not late or anything, just the last person to get on. I just turned to face the front just with my arms out like wtf bro. Oh well, extra 10 minute walk that is good for me

I've had thoughts about ways to grow the business. I feel like one issue is I have an empty Instagram account. I didn't see the point in making all this content about marketing because it won't be seen by anyone.

Instead, I go out and shoot the sorts of videos I'd make for clients, publish them on my Instagram account, and tag them as a collaborator. It's a free sample for them, lets me grow my profile using their audience, and populates my page with more tangible examples of my offer.

I could also shoot a pinned post saying like "Did you get tagged in a video and now you're checking out my profile? Here's how I can help you."

Any thoughts on this? I think it's a pretty solid idea

I agree it's a solid idea. Social media presence as you already know is the lifeblood of marketing.

I think you'll see good return for your time investment.

One guy saw me filming my first video and asked for my details for himself. Kind of funny to get a hit before I even did anything. Still need to see if anyone converts though

Made some pork stock flavoured with kaffir lime on Sunday night. Tonight that stock is simmering with white beans, carrots and tomatoes and some bacon chunks. Later, much later tonight, will have nice baked beans.

Business brags about 24/7 support... with emails that get ignored, a phone number that goes nowhere and a "live" chat that isn't responding. Time for social media passive aggressiveness.

Time to see if they paid for the social listening feature in their social media management tool

Finally had to close the chat after 4 hours of waiting, got a half hearted "sorry, we're reaaaally busy" message 15 minutes later. I doubt that many were waiting 4 hours for a freakin' live chat response, so I vote completely unmanned for the afternoon and just checked in on during the last halfa. Sent a very plain "do as I command" email, complete with attachments of all previous emails sent and a copy of the chat history. I'm not asking for much, just a return address I can send this bloody thing back to.

Can't wait to get this resolved, leave them a narky review about the lack of support and block them so they stop appearing in my feed.

/end rant

The sun is warm, the sky is blue
A bright light betwixt winter hues
On day like today I will refuse
To engage with any worldly news

Instead I'll wander the streets and lanes
Gazing through shop's window panes
Dreaming of winning the lottery game
And being secure without the fame

Supposed to warm up all week. ๐Ÿ™‚ I might do a little gardening.

I've been watching "Travellers" netflix scifi about people sent back from the future to save the future. The future is run by an AI called the director and one character sent back has been saying they miss being able to chat with the AI. This show was made in 2016, I wonder how that storyline would go down now?

4

That show is so good. I think the story holds up incredibly well. People giving up their thinking and decision making to an AI, for all the same reasons as today. It can process faster, humans can avoid hard decisions, belief that it is somehow smarter. And the ending feels scarily accurate. Enjoy!

My $27 order from IKEA cost $32 to ship to mum -- they're taking a quite hit to their 1.4bn profit on this one.

Thank you. I have some of those in my cupboard. Been there about 2 years I reckon. I wonder if they're still "good".
