My strategy: pick it off, eat it first, slowly get used to the flavor. Been doing this for a year and it seems to be working.

What's your definition of "working" on this case? Are you starting to like it? Or you mean food with it becomes edible?

I used to barely be able to tolerate it, and it would ruin the flavor of any food. I don't relish enjoy it now, but I don't have the revulsion response any more, it's just okay, which is a big improvement.

I see, yeah. I don't really think it's disgusting, but for me it's not really very good, but the big thing is that this thing that is not really good takes over the whole taste palette of the dish. I taste nothing but cilantro. I want to taste the other ingredients lol.
