I've finally decided I'm going to take my meds, the full dosage, every day
I did so today and I just achieved a lot today that I don't think I would have done without them. If i could be this motivated and unshakeable every day, it'd be good for me.
It's been hard figuring out if it was safe to take two a day, if it was even helpful, then remembering to take them at the right times (or at all), getting out of the habit of drinking tea (creates heart palpatations). Such a small thing, so much self work

my meds gave me heart palpitations and "forgetting to breathe" lol
good on you for having stuff that works!
Could you elaborate a little on the "forgetting to breathe" part, please? I'm experiencing something like that and have been wondering about causes.
so turns out, adderall affects me that way; the focusing gets so intense that, welll, I forget to breathe
I just went cold turkey after that, almost a decade later off meds and....... well, I've been coping lol
Okay, with me it has nothing to do with focus. Must be something else. Thanks for the description.
to be fair, it has been well over a decade, so my memory of the effects and stuff is really quite foggy, lol
I remember concerta was one that just made me super nausaus and so I dropped that one faster than a guy who accidentally touched redhot metal (as one does)
my current situation is pretty much all copeing strategies lol
Do what the doctors recommend. Don't self medicate.
It's all about consistency too. If i stop taking mine and then start taking them intermittently I find sometimes it makes symptoms worse
I hear ya on the caffeine. I stopped last year and most of the symptoms of my anxiety severely lessened in a matter of days. I switched to herbal teas, Rooibos tea, chicory and Clipper NoCaf instead of coffee/tea.
I have another, more compelling reason to not drink caffeinated drinks: bloating and bathroom related stuff. I think I'm just allergic to tea (i haven't tested) because these symptoms line up really perfectly with times when I drink tea and times when I don't.
I credit having to cut it for the Adhd meds as helping me actually stick to it though, because other people take me seriously and don't try and force hot drinks onto me.
Totally true about anxiety though. It's weird how one little thing could cause so many problems!
There's a place in my neighborhood that sells many loose herbal teas and dried fruit on the cheap. Need to go there soon.
