I was just thinking about this because I realized something only after posting this: having only had this on CD previously, I didn’t appreciate the degree to which it is difficult to state definitively which side is the cover. I picked that side unconsciously based on its orientation relative to the spine (on the left, opening on the right), but you are probably picturing this:
