Who's your favorite lyricist in the folk punk genre and why?
For me, I've gotta say Sean Bonnette. There's just something special about every album that AJJ puts out.

If you consider The Weakerthans as folk punk, then John K Samson for me.
The Virtute the Cat saga makes me weep. I've had some difficulties with my mental health over the years and the thought of something similar happening to my cat has given me the drive to push through it all.
