10 mg of vyvanse?

Hi, my Dr. just started me on 10mg of Vyvanse, but I couldn't even feel it, so I tried taking 20mg yesterday morning, and I really felt that it made me more focused, slowed my mind down from racing thoughts, and made me more motivated. But I'm going back to 10mg today and talking to my Dr. about moving me up to 20mg on Thursday. What do you all think about Vyvanse?
My Dr. first started me on 15mg of Adderall XR, and I could not handle that. It came on too strong, lasted too long, made me clench my jaw all day, and made me jittery and nervous. Also, my Dr. has me on 0.5mg of Klonopin twice a day, but it's not really doing anything either. Back about 3 years ago, when I lived in another state, my psych Dr. had me on 2mg of Klonopin three times a day, and that did help.
But besides my ADHD, my real problem is anxiety and agoraphobia. I told my Dr. that sometimes I would take one of my mother's 2mg Xanax if I ever had to do anything in public or had an anxious situation. I told her I took one on our first appointment and that I was so nervous I almost cancelled our appointment 10 times leading up to it.
I also just sent my Dr. an email asking her if I could increase the Vyvanse to 20mg and the Klonopin to 1mg, but I have not heard back yet. I see her again Thursday, so maybe I shouldn't have sent her an email. I hate that I might be coming off weird, like I'm wanting more drugs, but that ain't it. I honestly can't even feel I've taken the dose.
But what do you all think about this, and what do you think about Vyvanse? BTW, this is the first time I've used Lemmy, first post ever on Lemmy, too, so please be easy on me lol. Thanks!

Finding the right dosage can be hard. As long as you're not self-medicating, my advice would be to just gulp down whatever your doctor tells you to and try not to focus too much on drugs or their dosages. They're not meant to be the protagonist in your sanity game.
So, how did the appointment go?
She put me on 20mg of Vyvanse and 1mg of Klonopin but idk if this stuff is actually helping I have touretts syndrome so I have tics really bad and the Vyvanse really brings my tics out bad so I have some guanfacine 1mg er my Dr prescribed when she prescribed me the Adderall it's left over so I'm going to try it and see if it helps the tics from the Vyvanse also I don't really see what people get from this Vyvanse it just makes me all quiet and anti social I guess if it wasn't for the tics I could see it helping me focus more but I think I'm gonna have to go up more on the dosage as 20mg really has stopped kicking like it was when I first started... Also I'm able to eat like a horse on Vyvanse I can eat anything anytime of day and I can sleep good to so I find the really weird because almost everyone iv talked to says it takes there appetite away and sleep, but not me...as for the 1mg of Klonopin twice a day it's not really helping my anxiety I'm use to Xanax I can take 2mg of Xanax and mentally feel my anxiety go away plus Xanax makes me want to get out 3do stuff and be more active and social, Klonopin on the other hand I'll take 2mg of it and I'll kinda start to feel something like a hour later then I'll just get drowsy and want to lay down I don't physically feel it lowering my anxiety like with the Xanax either.....shewwww idk what to do really I thought about just asking my Dr to take me back to Adderall but instead of a 15mg extended release give me like a 5 or 10mg instant release this time my main problem with the Adderall before was it lasted to long but I don't recall my tics being as bad as they are with the Vyvanse but I just feel so overwhelmed I don't want to bother the Dr by going back and forth asking for different meds ya know sounding like a drug seeker she already told me she wouldn't prescribe Xanax but honestly it's the only one that I can even feel the Klonopin doesn't help I can't even feel it I'm not even taking it. But that's how it's going lol sorry for the long message.
You shouldn't. You should still visit her but the decision which substances and dosages you get isn't supposed to be up for debate. She's the expert who went through years of training. She'll want to know how the meds made you feel anyway. Just trust her and wait until she asks you.

Was the whole appointment about substances and their dosages? Because they usually aren't but your answer certainly was.
Oh no the only part that was about medication was at the end after we finished talking and discussing my issues.
