Oh, I wouldn’t worry about Trump pressuring him to do that. I’d worry about him doing enthusiastically, without needing to be pressured.

Sort of a joke that we keep getting these "The President is going to abolish democracy and there's nothing we can do about it" stories.
And then when you interview a Democrat in opposition leadership, their only response is "People need to vote harder. Idk, try blaming the Palestinians or the Gays or something"
If he is approved then we know everything is theatre and all are complicit.
Well, it is interesting to speculate about attempts to destroy democracy. But one lawyer doesn't make or break shit.
Sure, he'd need the support of the military, Congress, and the Supreme Court, with the opposing segments of the population comprised of people that confuse the mere act of protest with activism and action, with no significant acceptance that all actual reform is ultimately backed by the threat of revolution.
