Raiders suspend Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby from team drills after practice fight
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive end Maxx Crosby were suspended from team drills at practice Saturday following their fight the day before, giving rookie QB Fernando Mendoza his first opportunity in training camp to run the starting offense.
“We have very clear expectations about how we want to practice, how you go about our business,” coach Klint Kubiak said. “We violated that yesterday, so we held those guys out. That’s all I’m going to say about it. We addressed it with the team and we’re moving on.”
Cousins and Crosby had to be separated by teammates after the fight. The 37-year-old quarterback appeared upset that Crosby tipped his pass, forcing an incompletion, and then charged the 6-foot-5, 256-pound defensive end, who is three inches taller and 42 pounds heavier.

Did anyone else laugh when they saw this headline?
Cuz I did.
It was just a "practice fight" so they're ready for the real fights when they come!
I chuckled
Knowing preseason practice...odds are they'd run this play half a dozen times and Crosby was gaming that knowledge and made it easier to read the pass and get the tip. I can't see any professional QB getting pissed if it was a legitimate good play.
I could be completely wrong and Cousins is a whiny bitch...but who knows.
Just the thought of Kirk Cousins, of all people, getting in a fight is hilarious to me, much less one with Maxx Crosby.
Yeah... it is an entertaining thought.
The way I hear it, Maxx actually fucked up. He hit Kirk on his throwing arm as he was throwing and they said it happened twice. Kirk had to let him know. And of course Maxx is Maxx lol he ain’t gonna let Kirk Cousins get in his face.
Mendoza got a day to practice with all the starters though, so kind of a blessing in disguise lol.
Yeah, Maxx does love to target fingers, but doing so in your own QB is just stupid.
