Doesn't look like any other micro image of hair I've ever seen. In all the other pics i can find online hair looks a lot rougher than that. Maybe it's a synthetic hair?

There's a Facebook comment that says it's his daughter's hair. Dunno for sure.

Interesting how so up close both objects seem transparent. (I know, glass is basically sand, but still)
hair is made of keratin. the same material your fingernails are made of.
They must have used frame stacking to get everything into focus like this, I imagine...
