They're called "comms" or "communities" on Lemmy. "Subreddit" is a Reddit thing.

Not trying to be critical of the OP, but using the term 'subreddit' positions the Threadiverse as a mere knock-off of Reddit, rather than letting it stand on its own with emphasis instead placed on its advantages.
That's an entirely separate matter than the purpose of the post at hand though; the mod in question is banning users such as the OP in an effort to artificially increase their post scores, for which the OP is rightly deserving of sympathy.

We only ban if you break the rules, an downvoting ain't one of them. Anyone who thinks mass downvoting things anywhere around here has any effect on anything needs to touch grass. Not referring to you being concerned about it, I'm referring to people who try to use it to somehow penalize or game the system.
