Everyone's offline, nobody's texting, nobody's online, yet nobody's outside.
I used to talk to random people online. About a year ago, everything was so active. Discord servers filled with people, friends active on Discord, so many random people. Nowadays? Nobody. What's going on? I'm going to college after this summer, sure, and my IRL friends are busy, I get that. But the Discord servers, even games, bro, nobody's talking in games anymore. L4D2? I used to talk with so many random people in VC on it. Now? Nothing. So I thought to myself, sure, maybe I have no life and I should go outside. I went outside quite a lot, rode my bike daily, nothing, dude. I genuinely don't know what's up, lmao. What is everyone doing this summer? Why did everything die this year exactly? I'm genuinely confused. I mean, sure, I could go to parties and meet lots of people, but I just don't like them, there's nothing good about them if you're not drunk.

Personally? Bedrotting after I got laid off.
I mean have you seen the state of the world? Why would anyone do anything but panic? Lol
probably addicted to tiktok or another platform. younger people just mindlessly doomscroll on tiktok most of the time, or reddit, or youtube.
It’s too hot outside and my computer is a furnace. Plus I think lots of people are feeling the need to be productive right now. Games will pick up more in a month or so I think when things get a bit busier and people need to let off some steam.
Pinging specific friends to hop on works better than just an @here for me. If you get a handful of people to show up online I’ve often found a lot of other friends will hop on to join in on the fun. No one knows how to start things, but that’s okay if you’re the planner
Theres still heaps of people talking in matches on L4D2
Talking is so dead in my experience, I load up SLAM and play low volume music to everyone, like a movie soundtrack. Dragula by rob zombie always hits during eventd. And Hells Bells by acdc.
I've got over 5,000 hours, it's my all time load up and play anytime game, never gets uninstalled. I don't play vs anymore though.
Oh shit my bad i thought they meant talking as in typing as well. Yeah i find only games where its designed for a mic (like Hunt Showdown, Arma, Squad, Ready Or Not) theres lots of people talking when i join matches. Most arent worth talking to though lol
Typing is very common, I haven't used my mic in game in years though.
